The Ponte Vedra Concert Hall presents Shawn Barker as The Man in Black, a Johnny Cash tribute concert, on Sunday, February 26, 2023, at 8:00 p.m.
Shawn Barker learned to sing in his local gospel choir. After returning from time in the Army, he taught himself to play guitar and practiced singing by imitating some of the stars he most honored, Elvis, Roy Orbison, Johnny Cash and others. Ultimately, he began a hobby as an Elvis impersonator, switched to Johnny Cash, and found a career. Shawn is considered by some to be the best Johnny Cash tribute artist of the time.
Admission: Tickets range from $29.50 to $49.50. Tickets can be purchased online or at the Amphitheater Box Office on Anastasia Island, which is open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Thursdays and Fridays, and from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on Saturdays.
