St. Johns County Parks Department offers a kayak trip on Sixmile Creek near the St. Johns River on Thursday, April 23, and Saturday, April 25, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

Paddle the creek as you learn about the diverse wildlife and the area's history. 

Meet your guide at the Palmo Boat Ramp, which has a dock, parking, and restrooms. Palmo Boat Ramp is on a bend in the St. Johns River, and a short paddle to Sixmile Creek. 

Kayak fees:

* SJC resident with their own kayak: $20.00 per person
* Non-SJC resident with their own kayak: $30.00 per person
* SJC County resident using a county boat: $40.00 per person
* Non-SJC resident using a county boat: $50.00 per person

When: Thursday and Saturday, April 23 and 25, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

Where: The tour begins and ends at the Palmo Boat Ramp at 8600 Palmo Fish Camp Rd., St. Augustine, FL 32092.

How to Register for an Event

Some programs are free to all, some are free to residents, and require everyone to pay a fee, though they may offer residents a discount.

Admission | Ticket Prices

The fee for non-county residents is $30.00 per person if using their own boat and $50.00 per person if using a county boat. St. Johns County residents receive $10.00 off those prices.
