The St. Augustine Film Society hosts a free screening and discussion panel of the documentary The Biggest Little Farm (2018) on Tuesday, March 10, 2026, at 6:30 p.m. at Cafe Eleven. This event is a part of the ECO Cinema Film series.
Directed by John Chester, this story follows a husband and wife whose world is turned upside down when they are evicted from their Los Angeles apartment. They experience a complete transition as they move onto 200 acres of land and turn a poorly-nutriented farm into a thriving, diverse farm. Spanning eight years, the film showcases 10,000 orchard trees, more than 200 different crops, and various animals as they are introduced to the grounds. You too will have a deeper appreciation of nature and understanding of life after seeing this film.
Akres of Love members answer questions from the audience afterwards. Booths from local environmental and agricultural groups will also be set up.
