The St. Augustine Film Society showcases an award-winning and nominated screening of the adventure-comedy, Hunt for the Wilderpeople (2016), on Sunday, May 25, 2025, at 7:00 p.m. at the Temple Bet Yam.

Based on the 1986 book written by Barry Crump, this story centers on a rebellious child, Ricky, and his foster father, Hector. Due to their rocky relationship and the potential to be sent back to the orphanage, Ricky runs away. Unfortunate events lead to both characters being stranded in the New Zealand wilderness and eventually becoming the subjects of a national manhunt.

Admission: $10.00 for the public. Students and St. Augustine Film Society members are free.
