The St. Augustine Film Society presents a screening of the action/drama, The Promised Land (2023) on Sunday, November 24, 2024, at 7:00 p.m. at the Temple Bet Yam.

Written and directed by Nikolaj Arcel, this story is based in 18th-century Denmark. A poor soldier and explorer, Ludvig Kahlen, ventures out to carry out the king's orders to cultivate the land of Jutland. Tensions rise once the merciless landowner, Frederik De Schinkel, refuses to give up his land to the king. The two figures battle and Kahlen's life and the people around him are at risk.

Admission: $8.00 for the public. Students and St. Augustine Film Society members are free.
