The St. Augustine Film Society presents a stage performance, When the Rabbis Came to Town, on Wednesday, August 19, 2026, at 6:00 p.m. at Temple Bet Yam.

In honor of Rabbi Allen Secher, the only survivor of the largest rabbi arrests in United States history, this event highlights the importance of the civil rights protests in the Ancient City. This historic moment with Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. was a significant point for the movement's progress in 1964.

Rabbi Secher will be leading a Q&A after the play.

Admission: $10.00 for the public. Students and St. Augustine Film Society members are free. A meet-and-greet with Rabbi Secher and actor Adam Bell before the show is a separate price. Order tickets here.
