  • The St. Augustine Half Marathon has been postponed. They plan to hold it in the first half of 2022. 

    The annual St. Augustine Half Marathon, 10K and 5K will take place on Saturday, November 13, and Sunday, November 14, 2021, at Francis Field. The event consists of multiple races and running opportunities for all ages on both days. On Saturday, runners are invited to join the 5K Family Run, Kids Run and Runners Expo. Sunday's races will include a half marathon and 10K. 

    Saturday Events

    The 5K Family Run (ages 10 and over) will start at 6:55 a.m. from Francis Field, go past the Castillo de San Marcos, over the Bridge of Lions and back to Francis Field. Drink stations with water and energy drinks will be set up at the midway point and at the finish line. This race is walker-friendly and is open to ages 10 and older.

    Along with the races, there will be a Runners Expo on the grounds of Francis Field where guests can buy running shoes, accessories and gear, while getting information on new products and local organizations. The Expo will be open from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, Nov.ember 13, 2021. The Kids Race (maximum age 12) will take place at 10 a.m. on Saturday, and there will be a Yoga/Meditation session at  11 a.m. that day.

    Sunday Events

    On Sunday, the half marathon and 10K will take place. The half marathon has a required 16 minute/mile pace. The course starts at 6:45 a.m. from the Castillo de San Marcos, travels over the Bridge of Lions to Anastasia Park, down Scenic Highway A1A, over the 312 Bridge and then back to the Castillo. Runners must be 15 years or older to participate.

    The 10K (ages 10 and over) will start at 6:50 a.m. on Sunday from Francis Field and travels over the Bridge of Lions into Anastasia State Park and back. Drink stations will be set up every 1.5 miles.

    All races are walker-friendly, offering a unique opportunity to see the sights of the Ancient City along a scenic and comfortable route. For more information, visit the St. Augustine Half Marathon website or call (949) 771-5395.

    Registration prices vary depending on the race distance. For more information about registration fees and schedules, visit here. All registrants should pick up their packets before the race. Post-race food and refreshments are available for all participants. Custom-designed trophies will be awarded to the top three participants in each age division. All participants will receive a shirt and finisher's medal.

    Registration: $10 Kids Run; $25 5K; $40 10K and $79 half marathon.
