Ancient City Explorers Camp

St. Augustine Lighthouse and Museum offers four different summer camps, all filled with exciting activities for children. Each Ancient City Explorers Summer Camp runs Monday-Friday from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m. Additional morning care is available ($20 per week for Lighthouse members, $25 per week for non-members) as well as additional afternoon care for the same price.
The British Ballyhoo summer camp held on June 9th-13th focuses on sailing, shipwrecks, navigation, archaeology, and artifacts. Examples of camper activities include making and eating hardtack, singing British sailor songs, and “towing the line.”
The Menorcan Menagerie summer camp held on June 16th-20th focuses on Genealogy, living off of the sea, colonial crafts, and lighthouse keeping. Camper activities include creating family trees and crests, casting fish nets, and trying out delicious local flavors.
The African Americans and Civil Rights Movement summer camp lasts from June 23rd-27th. The camp explores diversity and change through music, art, and food. Camper activities include visiting Fort Mose, and taking part in an exciting mocked trial.
Flagler’s Florida summer camp lasts from July 7th-11th, and explores games, sports, social gatherings, and time in the great outdoors. Camper activities include experiencing life as a Victorian tourist, afternoon tea and croquet, and a scavenger hunt in the downtown St. Augustine area.
Admission: $180 per week for St. Augustine Lighthouse Members, and $200 per week for Non-Members.
When? Camp week dates include June 9th-13th, June 16th-20th, June 23rd-27th, and July 7th-11th. Each camp goes from Monday to Friday with drop off times at 9 a.m. every day, and pickup times at 4 p.m. every day.
