About The Event
Known for smash hits like "Renegade," "Come Sail Away," "Babe," and "Mr. Roboto," Styx, a Chicago-bred rock band, has been captivating audiences since 1972. Their signature sound blends progressive, hard, pop, and arena rock with acoustic instruments, synthesizers, and piano, creating a style that transcends decades.
The band's current lineup features James "JY" Young and Tommy Shaw on lead vocals and guitars, Chuck Panozzo on bass and vocals, Todd Sucherman on drums and percussion, Lawrence Gowan on lead vocals and keyboards, and Ricky Phillips on bass, guitar, and vocals. Launching their career with Wood Nickel Records and early albums like Styx, Styx II, and The Serpent Is Rising, they soon dominated the Billboard charts and earned multi-platinum status, selling millions of records worldwide.
In 2022, the Illinois Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inducted Styx. With more than 4.4 million monthly listeners on Spotify and other streaming platforms, Styx continues touring nationwide, proving that their music's energy and appeal remain as strong as ever.
Styx's discography includes Man of Miracles, Equinox, Crystal Ball, The Grand Illusion, Pieces of Eight, Cornerstone, Paradise Theatre, Kilroy Was Here, Edge of the Century, Brave New World, Cyclorama, Big Bang Theory, The Mission, Crash of the Crown, and their most recent album, Circling from Above.
