Cafe Eleven welcomes Sugaray Rayford on Sunday, September 28, 2025, at 8:00 p.m. Doors open at 6:00 p.m.

Celebrated by Elmore Magazine and Q Magazine, Grammy-nominated artist Sugaray Rayford continues to make a powerful impact through the evocative lyrics and stirring performances that define his brand of blues and American Soul. With over 42,000 listeners across Spotify and other streaming platforms, Rayford captivates audiences with tracks like "How the Other Half Lives," "Strawberry Hill," and "Somebody Save Me."

A native of Texas, Rayford’s musical journey began at the age of seven, rooted in the traditions of soul and gospel. He first found his voice behind a church drum set, singing and playing during church services. His early life was marked by hardship, from growing up in poverty to witnessing his mother’s battle with cancer, but those experiences shaped his raw, emotive style. After serving in the military, Rayford turned to music not only as a personal outlet but also as a platform to advocate for others facing adversity.

Drawing inspiration from legends like Howlin' Wolf, Muddy Waters, Curtis Mayfield, and Teddy Pendergrass, Rayford blends blues, soul, gospel, and funk into a sound that is both timeless and uniquely his own. His genre-blurring talent has led to collaborations with artists such as Sam Morrow, Saybdra Williams, Eamon Ray, Sasha Smith, and Mark Pender, earning him admiration from both fans and fellow musicians.

In addition to receiving a Blues Music Award, Rayford has built an impressive solo discography that includes Dangerous, Southside, The World That We Live In, Somebody Save Me, In Too Deep, and his most recent album, Human Decency. However, he has also been featured on Swamp It Up!, Bad News Travels Fast, Grit Grease & Tears, Why Did You Have to Go, and others.

Admission: General admission tickets are $29.02, and reserved tickets are $39.99. Purchase tickets in advance online or at Cafe Eleven on the day of the show.
