St. Augustine Art Assoc: Summer Art Camp

The St. Augustine Art Association hosts Summer Art Camp, offering three sessions, starting on Monday, June 10, and ending on Friday, June 28, 2024. Each session is scheduled from Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. The sessions teach fundamentals in different mediums. Each session costs $175.00, which covers supplies.

Camp Sessions:

Mixed Media Magic: June 10 - 14 
This camp explores mixed media art. Campers will experiment with a variety of traditional and unconventional art materials to explore texture, color, and composition. This camp is suited for children aged 6–10 and 11–14.

Sketchbook Studio: June 17 - 21  
This camp guides participants through drawing methods and fundamental concepts of sketch work. Campers will learn how line, form, and texture can bring sketches to life. They'll also learn the color wheel and the rule of thirds. This camp is ideal for ages 6–10 and 11–14.

Lights, Camera, Click!: June 24 - 28  
This camp teaches photography students how to take photographs from simple snapshots to artful compositions. This session focuses on the essentials of photography, from setting up the shot to improving framing. This program is recommended for ages 11–14.

Note: Participants will need a digital camera, smartphone, or another device capable of taking digital photos.

Admission: Each session costs $175.00, which covers supplies. Students should bring their snacks and beverages. Register now as space is limited.
