Tale Tellers: Fools for Love

The St. Augustine Waterworks invites lucky audience members, to share their amusing love story on Sunday, April 14, 2024, at 2:00 p.m., at the St. Augustine Waterworks, 184 San Marco Avenue. Any audience member may present a five-minute story and vote on the Fool's Gold Medal of Love winner.

Lou Novak, a newer member of the St. Augustine Tale Tellers, will host the event. He will be aided by Tale Tellers of St. Augustine Rose van der Berg, Kathy Duffy, and Chris Kastle, who will start the afternoon with love tales of their own. All those who wish to tell their five-minute tale of the heart will add their name to Lou's cap. Names will be picked at random. 

Lou Novak started entertaining his friends with tales (tall and true) when he was in first grade. Since then he has told tales on the stage at MOTH and the DC Liars Club. 

The Tale Tellers of St. Augustine was formed in 1993 by storytelling enthusiasts. Their mission is to pass on and enhance the art of storytelling. With well more than 30 members, this group seeks to revive storytelling as an art form and social means of communication through their many showcases.

Getting There: While the address is 184 San Marco Avenue, the only driveway on San Marco is Exit Only, so it is not available to access the Waterworks. Access to the Waterworks is through the St. Augustine Main Library parking lot, on the opposite side of the complex. (Use 1960 North Ponce de Leon in your GPS.)
