1st Annual Weenie Fest

The Northeast Florida Dachshund Club will host a series of dog races to benefit a Dachshund rescue organization.

On Saturday, September 24, 2016, the Northeast Florida Dachshund Club will host the first annual Weenie Fest at the St. Johns County Fairgrounds. Proceeds from the Weenie Fest will benefit D.A.R.E: Dachshund Adoption, Rescue & Education.

This event will feature a series of doggie races, including prizes for the race winners, as well as competitions for Best Tail Wagger, Best Nose, and Best Costume. Online registration is available for attendees who wish for their dogs to compete. Dogs must register and be current on shots and vaccines to participate.

In addition to the doggie races and competitions, there will be vendors on site for the festival selling arts and crafts, food, and drinks. Note that no outside food or drinks will be permitted in the event. Vendor space is also available.

Admission: $5 donation, or donation of other item needed by the charity, such as dog food, toys, and crates. To view the list of needed items, please click here.

When: Saturday, September 24, 2016. Gates open at 8 a.m. The festivities will begin at 10 a.m.

Where: The St. Johns County Fairgrounds are located at 5840 State Road 207 in Elkton, Florida.
