Words and Music Series: Stephanna Take Two

EMMA Concert Association presents another in their series of free events, "Words and Music at the Waterworks," on Thursday, April 4, 2024, from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m.

A clarinet and piano duo will perform ragtime, big band, swing, and jazz standards popular from the 1890s through the 1950s. Steve and Anna Marr will also take the time to share information and stories about each type of music and the era when it was first popular.

Stephanna Take Two are Steve Marr and Anna DeProspero Marr, a clarinetist and a pianist, who have each performed extensively in the area. Steve is a member of the St. Augustine Orchestra and Anna plays keyboards for the Teal Cabana Club. Both musicians are classically trained and both are highly accomplished in many genres of music.

Getting There: While the address is 184 San Marco Avenue, the only driveway on San Marco is Exit Only, so it is not available to access the Waterworks. Access to the Waterworks is through the St. Augustine Main Library parking lot, on the opposite side of the complex. (Use 1960 North Ponce de Leon in your GPS.)
