Charlotte Morris
Songs of empowerment and self-discovery.
Charlotte Morris shows it all on stage, from the underbelly to the stage face. Playing the violin at age four, and writing her own songs as a 'tween, she integrates her life, with its joys and its struggles, into her music. Self-taught on the piano, mandolin, guitar, banjo, ukulele, and bass, she just never stops. As a classically trained violinist, Morris embraced her the violin's traditional fiddle sound when she discovered it as a teen. Then things started to take off; she joined a concert tour which performed a history of folk music, from Woody Guthrie to Joni Mitchell and Bob Dylan. Only a year later, she veered off onto an all-acoustic tour across America, to be followed by her first full-length album.
Relocating to Nashville in 2021, she released more songs, projecting her "genuine, raw and emotional music with a purpose," to quote Morris. Inspired by The Chicks, Delta Rae, Sara Bareilles, Brandi Carlile, Maren Morris, and Kelsea Ballerini, her songs of empowerment, along with her raw and tender vocals, often reflect her personal journey. While maintaining an upbeat interpretation of the wide swings of love's power, this singer-songwriter pulls together her love of theater, folk, and Americana music for a performance that intertwines music and storytelling.
