From Saturday, November 19, 2022 to Saturday, January 7, 2023, the Grinch offers his own special take on the holiday, "Hate, hate, hate ... Loathe entirely," during a 45 minute ride aboard an electric vehicle. This family-friendly tour for those not frightened by a grouchy green fellow in a Santa suit, presents a relaxed and often funny way to tour the town and enjoy the holiday. 

The St. Augustine Lighthouse offers a holiday tour during Nights of Lights, Lighthouse Illuminations: Tides, Tidings, & Trees, on select days from November 22, 2024, through January 11, 2025, with tours starting at 7:00, 7:30, and 8:00 p.m. You will purchase tickets that specify a start time.

Located at 603 Euclid Avenue at the Usina Boat Ramp Pavilion in Vilano Beach, St. Johns County Parks & Recreation is hosting a special session for veterans on the proper way to clean a fish. Hands on activities, along with some leisure fishing will be part of the class. Participants are encouraged to bring their equipment but for those who do not have it, gear will be provided.

St. Johns County Parks & Recreation hosts a session on surf fishing on Wednesday, November 15, 2023, from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.

Located at 603 Euclid Avenue at the Usina Boat ramp Pavilion in Vilano Beach, St. Johns County Parks & Recreation is hosting a session on nets and traps on November 2, 2022 from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Welcoming guests (ages 10 and up) who want to participate in hands-on activities, the two-hour lesson teaches the intricacies of nets and traps including what to use, when, and how to use them.

The St. Johns County Parks Department will host Fishing 101: A Bait Lesson, at 603 Euclid Avenue at the Usina Boat Ramp in Vilano Beach on Wednesday, March 1, 2023, from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. 

Guests (ages 10 and up) will learn about all the essentials of baiting, which includes: 

French Artist Jean Claude Roy will be greeting visitors and discussing his collection of expressionist art at the Grand Bohemian - Private Dinner on Saturday, November 5, 2022, at 5:30 p.m at the Casa Monica Hotel and Spa. Visitors can see Jean's work at the Grand Bohemian Gallery and then have a sumptuous five-course feast with a choice of bold, smooth, or sweet wines.
