The intrinsic nature of St. Augustine's Observatory is mellow, present, and overall undemanding, much like a day in the summer sun with little responsibility. Listening to Observatory incites a philosophical conversation within oneself, reaching into matters of the heart, core life principles, and the crux of the human condition, while simultaneously stimulating the body to move through the stresses of the physical realm. The band's live performances are highly rehearsed, but also leave members room to breathe and improvise as the moment sees fit.

Originally from Venezuela,  Marianne Lerbs is a linguist with skills in several artistic disciplines. She is as well-known as a sculptor as she is as a guitarist and singer. 

Marianne began as a classical guitarist, immersed in Bach and Segovia. She ventured into the jazz realm, where she picked up influences from other musicians and vocalists. Then she studied world music, enjoying the variety of rhythms and techniques found only in certain regions of the world. She blends classical, jazz, and world music into a nostalgic sound that carries a refreshing newness. 

St. Augustine's four-piece ensemble Ain't Too Proud to Beg is a festive carousel of entertainment, delighting in audience involvement, a lively dance floor, and the overall jovial spirit music has to offer. Offering a concoction of pop, blues, classic rock, '70s and '80s funk, jazz, and their own original funky tunes, Ain't Too Proud to Beg has one goal in mind once they take the stage - fun, and lots of it. The band's inspirations and influences range from Jimi Hendrix to Mick Taylor and even Jeff Beck, encompassing a large spectrum of genres.

This popular band in St. Augustine stopped performing after the death of harmonica player and vocalist, "Long John" Higginbotham, in July of 2017. A beloved member of the St Augustine music scene, John is still missed by friends, family, and lovers of great music sung in a rich, deep voice.

More recently, guitarist Rick Levy and bassist Jeff Ganz, have been performing as "The Bones," billed as "The duo that sounds like two guys."

Originally from New Jersey, Bill Sabo is a St. Augustine native who has been a self-branded acoustic musician for over 30 years now. From rock and roll, to folk and Americana, Bill blends his own self into his songs, becoming part of each one in a very emotional way. A former teacher at The Florida School for the Deaf and Blind for over 20 years, Bill Sabo not only lays out his heartstrings before audiences in performances, but also gives back to his community in unmatched dedication and love. He is one of the founding members of The C.R.S.

St. Augustine's Ace Winn is an impeccable example of a bona fide musical performer. Sharpening his abilities in the passionate areas in which he shines brightest, Ace has quickly become a reputable part of the St. Augustine music scene. His sound ranges from soul, jazz, funk, and rhythm and blues to pop, makes his audience feel right at home and brings to light the ways in which we are connected and the ever-growing need for a real, raw interpretation of perception in the modern era.

Rotagilla is alligator spelled backwards. After decades of performing under that name, the band became Rotageezer in 2002, a wry acknowledgement  in the face of aging like a fine wine. Originally comprised of members Bill Sabo, Mike Cunningham, Gene Eberhardy, Ed Wilson, and Butch Malone, Rotagilla won Florida's Top Rock Search in the late '70s as a comedy jug band. They even appeared on The Midnight Special.

Don Cooper, who prefers to be called "Cooper," performs frequently in St. Augustine both as a solo act and in various groups such as the Thick and Thin String Band. 

If audiences set out on a quest looking for a sound they've never heard before, they would be delighted to stumble across St. Augustine's Bedsweater, an all-female trio that is turning heads and hearts throughout the Ancient City. With their mix of ethereal and electric-driven sound, Bedsweater takes to the stage with a punk-rock attitude, blooming into an ensemble that can tug at the heart strings while at the same time exuding a level of confidence and comfortability that seems to come naturally to each member of the group.

St. Augustine, Florida's Dust Fuss is a trio of unexplainable phenomena, working outside the boundaries of musical norms and pushing the envelope of their live performance capabilities to the max. The name Dust Fuss was born from a conversation about band names, when the trio was attempting to define their overall sound and the word "dusty" was mentioned along with "western" and "desert." Thus, the name Dust Fuss, a clever take on an articulation of the band's overall vibe and sound.
