  • Drum Man Charters, based out of St. Augustine, offers an exciting day on the water for sightseeing or fishing excursions.

    Captain James Dumas is fully licensed, insured, and ready to help guests find their fish. He's experienced and has been on the water all of his life, having grown up in Florida, and is an expert in light tackle and fly fishing for species such as red fish, trout, flounder as well as tarpon and cobia. Professional fishermen will find a worthy fishing partner in him, and amateur fishers will learn the basics of fishing including how to cast a fishing rod.

    Guests on Drum Man Charters will be casting out from one of his 2016 Eastcape Vantage VHP skiffs. With a draft of 9" inches, a top speed of 50 mph, and a 79" beam, this fast and stable boat will take up to three guests for inshore fishing year round, and for fly casting off the beach in the spring in summer.

    Captain Dumas will guide guests for a great day of fishing in St. Augustine, where his trips have caught Redfish, Black Drum, Sea Trout, Flounder, Sheepshead, Tarpon, and shark.

    The charter rates include a fishing license for each guest, fishing rods and gear, bait, and ice and water. Guests are invited to bring other beverages and snacks.

    Captain James was awesome anyone can take you fishing but he took us several spots so we could catch a variety of fish we caught red fish trout blue fish sheephead pinfish and flounder. He was very knowledgable about each species we will be back thanks for a great day Joe and Vickie Fenton Mo
