The team at Get Up and Go Kayaking takes groups of up to 10 paddlers out in clear, two-seat kayaks. These transparent kayaks have seat backs and an easy wide-open entry. You could see dolphins, manatees, sea turtles, and various birds on this two-and-a-half-hour paddle. The Details
The entire experience lasts two and a half hours and includes up to 10 guests. You depart from the Vilano boat ramp, which is just west of the Vilano Bridge. Scheduled tours depart at 9:00 a.m., noon, 3:00 p.m., and 6:00 p.m. The later tour offers you views of St. Augustine at sunset.
Bring water in a reusable container, sunscreen, sunglasses, and a hat. Wear clothing and shoes that can get wet, and bring a towel for after the trip. Don't bring disposable containers, oil-based sunscreens, or alcoholic drinks. This trip welcomes children three and older.
While no one can guarantee sightings of specific creatures, the tour offers fantastic views above and below the water.
