Odd Birds Café, on the St. Augustine end of the Vilano Bridge, is a cozy, laid-back eatery with house-made breakfast and lunch items, and baked goods. This is the sister eatery to Odd Birds Cocktail Lounge and Kitchen on Anastasia Island, and exudes the same eclectic taste and ambiance. Much of their made-from-scratch menu is Latin-inspired and features in-house pickling and roasting.
Odd Birds Café's coffee menu starts your day right, with café con leche, cappuccino, cortado, specialty lattes, and chai. The bakery counter offers sweets, such as muffins, churros, and beignets, and the savory Odd Birds roll filled with ham, Swiss cheese, and pickles.
Breakfast is served all day, and includes traditional American favorites, burritos, a breakfast Cuban, and pork boulangerie. They also offer a build-your-own breakfast plate with the customer's choice of eggs, protein, side, and bread.
For lunch, the menu includes sandwiches and empanadas, rice bowls, savory corn pancakes, a traditional BLT, and a fried chicken BLT.
The café is open every day from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., with dining indoors or on their patio. Have your food packed to go if you're spending the day on the beach or on your boat.
You can find them at 121 Yacht Club Drive, at the entrance to Camachee Cove Yacht Yard.
