Smoked Southern BBQ, a barbeque café in the Fountain of Youth park, offers barbecue favorites inspired by Native Americans.
When colonists arrived in North America, they observed Native Americans using smoke to cure meats. They combined this preservation technique with European roasting methods; thus, the American barbeque tradition was born. Smoked Southern BBQ proudly continues this tradition in Uptown St. Augustine.
Smoked Southern BBQ has something for everyone, from smoky, sauce-slathered ribs to earthy, aromatic dry rubs. They boast a wide range of southern barbeque staples served with classic sides, such as baked beans, coleslaw, toast, and pickled red onions. Guests can also choose from various starters and lunch baskets, including golden-fried crabcakes, homemade soup, entree salads, wraps, burgers, and sandwiches. A select variety of beer, wine, snacks, and soft-serve ice cream are available.
Smoked Southern BBQ brings American barbecue tradition and flavor to St. Augustine visitors, whether catering weddings or private events at the Fountain of Youth or serving at their outdoor dining area. Established in 2017, Smoked Southern BBQ is open seven days a week, from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
