Island Queen Charters
Visitors can relax on the water in St. Augustine while enjoying a private cruise on the power yacht, the Island Queen, which departs from the Vilano Pier dock.
This charter vessel, an 11-meter (36-foot) Trojan powerboat, will hold up to 6 guests who can relax in comfort while exploring St. Augustine shore along the Intracoastal Waterway. On board, guests will find a small, open afterdeck, where there are comfortable upholstered marine seats and deck chairs. A few steps up from that is another seating area that's under the sun awning and near the steering station. The on-deck fridge is stocked with water and soft drinks and there's room for guests to chill any beverages and snacks they've brought on board.
A few steps down from the steering station will take guests to the cabin or lounge below. Those who want to get out of the sun entirely will find a spacious lounge area with a table, a small kitchen with a fridge and stovetop, and a private bathroom with flushing toilet.
Captain James is an experienced and licensed captain who delights in showing his passengers St. Augustine's shores. He and his partner Lara own the vessel and are both experienced in charters and excursions, having operated a 5-Star-rated charter service in North Carolina. He is adept at driving the boat, and eager to share information about the area, or will simply captain the boat while guests lounge in the comfortable seating and take in the views.
Charters are private, can include up to 6 guests, and are available for sunset cruises, dolphin-watch tours, and half-day excursions. Reservations are required for the Island Queen and regular charters can be booked here. Those planning to visit during Nights of Lights are encouraged to book reservations well in advance for their private tour of the best after-dark view of the city from mid-November through January.
Captain James and Lara are delighted to help guests celebrate special occasions, such as a birthday, engagement, anniversary, or a reunion with old friends. To schedule a special event aboard the Island Queen, guests may call Lara at (910) 262-7355.
