STAR Circulator Bus Regular Schedule and Route
STAR Circulator — short for St. Augustine (STA) Rider — provides free rides around St. Augustine's Historic Downtown. Operating from 10:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. one of these blue and white buses should leave the turnaround between the parking garage and the Visitor Information Center every quarter-hour, and stop at two other locations before returning.
The route starts at the turn-around at the Visitor Information Center, at the north end of Cordova Street. The bus will turn left on Orange Street, stopping at 14 Avenida Menendez. After a short wait, the bus continues along the waterfront before turning up Cathedral Place, stopping again midway between St. George and Cordova Streets. After another short wait, the bus turns right onto Cordova and heads back to the turn-around at the Clock Tower. Depending on traffic, the bus makes the circuit every 15 minutes.
This service is great for those who tire easily when walking, have young children, shopped until they dropped, or are ready to get back to their car at the parking garage. Of course, folks may enter at any of the three points, so people staying at the Casa Monica Resort and Spa, can cross the park to hop on the bus for a ride to the other end of Historic Downtown.
Five Things to Know:
- The bus does not stop for passengers between the specially designated pick-up/drop-off locations.
- Passengers may only complete one circuit and get off at the end. They can reboard later.
- The last bus leaves the Visitor Information Center at 10:00 p.m.
- Bus hours may vary on holidays and during Nights of Lights.
- One bus is wheelchair accessible.
