The Market at Stewart's - CLOSED
The Market at Stewart's provides fresh produce, fresh seafood, fresh meats, and more, as well as a prepared foods counter called La Floridita Kitchen. Owners Jeff and Genie McNally (who are also the owners of the popular downtown restaurant, The Floridian) have turned what was once a tiki-hut-style produce stand into a community market that buys from local farms and offers a wide range of fresh foods, including a butcher counter with datil sausage, Angus beef and pork from CartWheel Ranch, Cedar Key clams and Mayport shrimp. Produce is fresh off the farm, with all types of fruits and vegetables, and even living lettuce.
Inside the Market at Stewart's, the prepared food counter La Floridita Kitchen is run by husband and wife Gaston Buschiazzo and Amy Tarney. They offer a variety of freshly prepared foods, from hummus and empanadas to smoked fish dip and homemade donut holes.
The mission of the Market at Stewart's has always been to bring fresh produce from the farms of the western part of St. John's County to the downtown area of St. Augustine, thus providing a true community market and helping to sustain local producers and purveyors.
The Market at Stewart's is located at 311 Anastasia Blvd., just over the Bridge of Lions from downtown St. Augustine. The Market is open Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
