Big Bang 5K

Christ Episcopal Church, in Ponte Vedra Beach, hosts the 16th annual Big Bang 5K on Saturday, June 27, 2026. This race features a fast, flat course that winds through the neighborhood roads and along the golf course. The 5K begins at 8:00 a.m., followed by the One Mile Fun Run at 9:00 a.m. 

This year’s event includes patriotic-themed shirts for those who register by June 17, 2026, at midnight—a perfect way to celebrate the 4th of July.

Registration Fees

• 5K: $30.00 until Wednesday, June 15, 2026, at midnight. $35.00 from June 16 to June 26 at 6:00 p.m. Race day entry is $40.00 (cash or check only).
• 5K Children 14 & younger: $17.00 early registration, $20.00 late entry, $25.00 on race day.
• One Mile Fun Run: $13.00, includes a shirt and medal for early registrants.
• Ponte Vedra, Nease, and Fernandina Beach HS Cross Country Teams: $17.00 early, $20.00 late registration, $25.00 on race day.

Packet Pickup: Friday, June 26, 2026, from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m., at Christ Episcopal Church. Race day pickup begins at 7:00 a.m.

When: 8:00 a.m. Saturday, June 27, 2026

Where: Christ Episcopal Church, 400 San Juan Drive, Ponte Vedra Beach. Parking is available behind the church.

Race Timing: The race is timed by a Jaguar Timing Systems electronic bib tag. The bib must be worn on the front of the chest, and the chip does not have to be returned.
