Artisans Through the Ages will depict many different artists creating artwork, jewelry, metal works, and more. The Ximenez-Fatio House Museum will host this historic event which will commemorate their 75 years of stewardship alongside various reenacotrs, artists, and craftspeople.
The Artisans through the Ages will feature many different artists working on their craft. Visitors can see the artists in actions as they work to create anything from fabrics, jewelry, paintings, and more! Walk the historic and beautiful grounds of the Ximenez-Fatio House. The house became a boarding house in 1939 when the Florida Colonial Dames purchased the property from private citizens. Then in 1946 the boarding house opened as a museum to the public.
History of the Ximenez-Fatio House: The Ximenez-Fatio House dates back 1798 when Andres Ximenez and his wife Juana built the home. The home was purchased by Margaret Cook in 1830 after Florida became a U.S. territory. The home was then purchased by Louisa Fatio in 1855, who had previously operated 2 boarding houses. This historic home has changed many hands and remains a figure of the city's past.
