The Ponte Vedra Concert Hall welcomes instinctive tale-spinner and artist, Billy Prine, on Friday, April 19, 2024, at 8:00 p.m. Doors open at 7:00 p.m.
Establishing a band in Chicago, Billy Prine, John Prine's younger sibling, showcased his inherent talents at the tender age of 12. The musical landscape of 1960s and '70s Chicago offered a diverse range of genres, with blues from the renowned Chess Records and country music featured on the National Barn Dance — both captured public attention.
Growing up amidst the musical richness of the city, Prine honed a distinctive American roots music style, immersing himself in the works of various artists from that era.
Transitioning his skills to Oh Boy Records, Prine played a pivotal role in producing Live From Mountain Stage, a legendary and enduring radio show originating from Charleston, West Virginia.
As a storyteller, Prine pays tribute to his late and esteemed brother, John, by recounting tales of John's timeless masterpieces.
