42nd Bridge of Lions 5K

The 42nd annual Bridge of Lions 5K takes place on Saturday, July 11, 2026, at 7:30 a.m. along the scenic bayfront in Historic Downtown.

The course takes runners past the Castillo de San Marcos, over the historic Bridge of Lions, and through Davis Shores on Anastasia Island.

The race begins at the Castillo de San Marcos and ends at Oglethorpe Battery Park on Anastasia Island. Water stations are at the start, at one mile, at two miles, and at the finish. Digital time clocks are viewable at one mile, two miles, and the finish line.

Funds from this race support the Make-A-Wish Foundation.

Event Details

Registration: In 2025, registration fees were $35.00, plus signup fees. The price increased to $40.00 after April 30, 2025. Registration for the virtual option was $45.00, plus signup fees. Register online. We will post the 2026 fees once they are announced.

Packet Pickup: In 2025, pre-race pickup was on Friday, from 11:30 to 4:00 p.m. at the Guy Harvey Resort, 860 A1A Beach Boulevard, St. Augustine Beach, Florida 32080. Race day packet pickup was from 6:00 to 7:15 a.m., at 1 South Castillo Drive, St. Augustine.

When: The race begins at 7:30 a.m. on Saturday, July 11, 2026.

Where: The race begins at the Castillo de San Marcos, 1 South Castillo Drive, St. Augustine, Florida 32084.

Parking: Free parking is available at the Castillo de San Marcos until 10:00 a.m., and at the finish line in Davis Shores. No transportation will be provided for runners between the start and finish. However, it is about a half-mile walk when taking a direct route. Many participants prefer to park at the finish line and walk to the start before the race.

Race Timing and Scoring: The Bridge of Lions 5K course is 5K USATF-Certified.
