The Crisp-Ellert Museum and Flagler College are offering the exhibition Bourbon Street, by Syracuse-based artist Courtney Asztalos. This exhibit is linked to the Voice, Hands, and Vision exhibit taking place concurrently at the Museum. Courtney Asztalos is one of the 36 artists whose artists' books are on display in that exhibit.
The Bourbon Street exhibit consists of photographs and screen grabs that correspond with the making of Ms. Asztalos' artist book, all concerning a specific area in New Orleans, Lousiana. Everything on display reflects the artist's personal experience with the people on the street and recordings made by the 24-hour Earth Cam installed there.
Courtney Asztalos is a photograph currently living in Syracuse, New York. Her work has been exhibited in many special collections, including UCLA Arts Library, Duke University, Vanderbilt University, and the University of Miami. The exhibit has been curated by Staci Bu Shea, an organizer and writer based in Jacksonville, Florida.
