Derek Coghlan in "Hitchhiking"

On Friday, April 15, 2016, Derek Coghlan will perform Hitchhiking at the Pioneer Barn at Fort Menendez.There will also be a matinee performance on Sunday, April 17, 2016, at 2:00 p.m.

Inspired by the Irish storytelling he grew up with, Coghlan began performing one-man shows in 2004. Hitchhiking, written and performed by Coghlan, is a comedic exploration of life in Ireland in the 1970s and 1980s, alluding to Coghlan's experiences growing up in a traditional Irish Catholic family and celebrating the freedom of "traveling by thumb."
