New Orleans-based musicians Dirty Dozen Brass Band will entertain audiences in a two-hour concert April 18, 2021, at the Flagler Health + Village Pavilion at Nocatee.

Winners of Offbeat magazine's Lifetime Achievement Award, the Dirty Dozen Brass Band has been making music for more than 40 years.

The seven-member ensemble has seen several personnel changes over the years but still includes original members Gregory Davis (trumpet and vocals), Kevin Harris (tenor saxophone), Kirk Joseph (sousaphone) and Roger Lewis (baritone saxophone).

Members Julian Addison (drums), Takashi Shimmura (guitar) and T.J. Norris (trombone) round out the group. 

Described by the band as "musical gumbo," the band's sound takes the traditional foundation of brass band music and incorporates a blend of genres including Bebop Jazz, Fund and R&B/Soul.

This outdoor concert is open to the public. Safety protocols like social distancing and face masks are in place.
