Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Remembrance March

The Martin Luther King Jr. Remembrance March celebrates the memory of Dr. King and the great influence he had in the passage of the Civil Rights Act in 1964.
The procession departs at 11:45 a.m. on Monday, January 15, 2018, from St. Paul’s AME Church (85 Martin Luther King Jr. Ave, in Lincolnville), and proceeds to King Street and then to the Plaza de la Constitución, where the commemoration will continue with presentations and speakers until 2:00 p.m. Pastor Willie Daryl Lee will be a featured speaker at the event and the House of Faith choir will sing.
The annual commemorative breakfast will take place at the Mark W. Lance Armory on San Marco Avenue from 7:30 to 10:00 a.m., and will feature Mr Bryan M. Mahoney, Vice President Grumman Aerospace Systems, as guest speaker. The theme will be "If I can help someone along the way...then my living will not be in vain."
