Crosby, Stills & Nash are an internationally well known and award-winning American folk-rock band. With over 4 years of performing experience, the band recently added the St. Augustine Amphitheatre to their 2014 summer tour.

Prior to the founding of the band, each individual member already achieved sufficient status within the music industry. David Crosby was a member of the band The Byrds, Stephen Stills was a guitarist for the band Buffalo Springfield, and Graham Nash was a guitarist for the band The Hollies. The members met each other on tours and quickly became acquaintances. During one of Joni Mitchell's house parties, the three men performed a simple harmony of the song "You Don't Have to Cry" written by Stills himself. The sound was breathtaking, and the immediate need to form a band arose out of this tiny incident.

The group went on to become one of the most successful touring and recording acts of the 60's, 70's, and early 80's. Compared by some to the Beatles, Crosby, Stills & Nash definitely had an extremely heavy impact on society. Their first album, Crosby, Sill & Nash was an instant hit around the world. Woodstock happened to be a major high point on the group's first tour, marked with fans who worshipped the band's sound. After their tour ended the group added Neil Young to their trio, a past member of the band Buffalo Springfield.

The first album with all four members, Déjà Vu, quickly became a chart topping hit-complete with a spot on Rolling Stones magazine's 500 greatest albums of all time list. After the album was released, however, the group split up and did not reconnect again until 1974 for a summer tour, and then split up again until 1988 for the band's studio album American Dream.

In 1990 Crosby, Stills & Nash released the album Live It Up, which was not as successful as other albums the group previously released. The band continued to put out more of their work and tour the country for years, even creating a DVD of tour highlights. Today, the band is creating more original work and going on tours throughout the nation with the support of their die-hard fans.
