    An Evening of Song & Story will feature the two nationally known singer/ songwriters Michael Reno Harrell and Bob Patterson. The live music event is sponsored by Gamble Rogers, a non-profit organization dedicated to the arts and art education. This evening will be filled with music, stories, and laughs.

    Bob Patterson is an award-winning singer/songwriter/storyteller from Northeast Florida. In the late 1960’s Patterson signed with Vanguard Records, a prestigious folk music label. His popular single “Mary Ann” was featured on his first album and brought about tremendous success within the music world. For over 40 years he has been featured in the Florida Folk Festival, performing on his 12 string guitar for his fans. Patterson is the co-founder of the Gamble Rogers Folk Festival, and has served on the staff as the artistic director for over 15 years. He won the Annette J. Bruce Lifetime Achievement award in 2014 for his dedication within the storytelling community.

    Michael Reno Harrell is an award winning songwriter and storyteller from South Carolina. His performances and entertainment style appeal to an extremely diverse audience, from children to adults. The Americana Music Charts has constantly placed Harrell’s songs at the tops of their lists; and the music community, literary and storytelling worlds have honored the singer on countless occasions for his work. Harrell has appeared in the International Storytelling Center and the Walnut Valley Festival.

    Admission: Tickets are $15 in advance and $20 at the door.

    When? June 28, 2014. Doors open at 6 p.m., music begins at 7 p.m.
