First Coast Opera will present A Golden Age of Operaat 7:30 p.m. Thursday, March 31, 2022.

Under the direction of Curtis Tucker, First Coast Opera will perform musical selections from and inspired by the operas of Tchaikovsky, Mussorgsky, Rimsky-Korsakoff and Borodin, among others.

Tucker will host a quintet of singers led by soprano Irina Petrik and Metropolitan Opera pianist Yelena Kurdina performing songs and arias in their original languages. This opportunity on the First Coast to hear selections from Eugene Onegin, Pique Dame and others, sung by native speakers, concludes First Coast Opera's 2021-2022 performance season.

First Coast opera is a nonprofit organization that aims to offer high-quality performances to the local area. Founded in 2000, First Coast Opera brings operas, operettas, cabarets and concerts to the region. The organization also works to build patron support and sponsorship, and to foster a new generation of opera patrons through educational programs and performance opportunities.
