The Crisp-Ellert Art Museum and Flagler College present an exhibition of artwork created by Flagler College faculty over recent months. The exhibit will open with a reception on Friday, March 6, 2015, and will run through April 17, 2015.

This collection of work by nine faculty members of the Flagler College Art and Design Department showcases the talent and creative drive they bring to their teaching professions. As Department Chair Leslie Robson puts it, "I'm hoping that by seeing first hand that we are all working artists and designers, students will be able relate to us better as they approach their own work."

Working in mediums that range from painting to sculpture, video, print and digital design, the Art and Design Department faculty exhibit some of their more recent work.

The exhibition includes Luciana Gassett's design for a commemorative book on the 125th Anniversary of the Hotel Ponce de Leon; Don Martin's intricate woodcuts of native Florida plants; Laura Mongiovi's explorations of the human body, voyages and map through drawing, stitching and clay; Diana Lodi's work on brand identity systems and promotional material; Patrick Moser's video selections from his series, "Unteaching Practices / The Art Tests"; Sara Pedigo's dramatic paintings of domestic scenes; Leslie Robison's multimedia approach to investigating the power structure of the academic world; Chris Smith's artistic renderings strategically applied to identity campaigns, and Natalie Stephenson's innovative analysis of service learning in design education.

Admission: Both the exhibit and the reception are free and open to the public.

When? The openings reception will take place from 5 to 9 p.m. on Friday, March 6, 2015. The exhibition will continue through Friday, April 17, 2015. The museum's hours while classes are in session are Monday through Friday, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., and on Saturday from noon to 4 p.m. The museum will be closed during Flagler College Spring Break, March 18 - 21.
