-
Flagler College Theatre Arts students will perform the French Revolution-era play, The Revolutionists, November 10–14, 2021, at Lewis Auditorium in historic downtown St. Augustine.
A play by Lauren Gunderson, The Revolutionists tells the story of four very real women who lived boldly in France during the French Revolution’s reign of terror. Bringing together playwright Olympe de Gouges, assassin Charlotte Corday, Haitian Revolutionary spy Marianne Angelle and Queen Marie Antoinette, The Revolutionists covers France's radical political and societal period in the late 1700s, but with a twist. The play is a comedy.
Directed by Lorna Bracewell, Ph.D., associate professor of political science at Flagler College, the play's run will include a Q&A session following the Thursday performance as well as a talk-back session with Bracewell.
Admission:$15 general admission. Tickets for non-Flagler College students are $5. Free for Flagler College faculty, staff and students.
When: 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 10, to Saturday, Nov. 13, and 2 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 14, 2021.
Where: Lewis Auditorium is located at 14 Granada St. in historic downtown St. Augustine, FL 32084.
