Flagler College Theatre Arts Department presents James and the Giant Peach, based on the book by Timothy Allen McDonald, from Thursday, April 16, through Sunday, April 19, at the Lewis Auditorium. On Thursday through Saturday, the performances are at 7:30 p.m. Sunday has a matineé showing at 2:00 p.m.
A young boy named James is tasked with chopping down an old fruit tree and finds an enchanting, enormous peach. After crawling inside, he meets a crew of friendly insects. Trouble ensues when the peach drops from the tree and lands in the ocean, and journeys to New York City. Thanks to James's leadership, he teaches the insects what it means to work together as they face sharks, hunger, and disagreements.
Admission: $25.00 for general admission; free for Flagler College students and employees. Tickets can be purchased online.
