Flagler College's Forum on Government and Public Policy brings nationally recognized journalists, commentators, and speakers to St. Augustine to discuss issues at hand in regional, state, and federal government.

This month's forum will feature author and former New York Times correspondent Hedrick Smith. Smith is a Pulitzer Prize-winning former New York Times reporter and Emmy award-winning producer/correspondent. Smith will talk about his latest book titled, Who Stole the American Dream?, where he takes penetrating look into the two "Americas" that have developed due to economic policies since the 70s.

His presentations are excellent and offer great insight into the world of politics and public policy. Smith draws on his wide-ranging New York Times and PBS documentary reporting to deliver penetrating speeches and lectures all over the U.S. One of Smith's books, "The Russians" has been translated into 16 different languages and is based on his years as a New York Times' Moscow Bureau Chief.

This forum has promoted intellectual talk about government and public policy for over 30 years at Flagler College. Call (904) 819-6400 for more information. Free and open to the public, but seating is on a first-come first-served basis.
