The Fountain of Youth Elks Lodge is a celebrated historic institution located in St. Augustine's Lincolnville neighborhood, renowned for its rich cultural heritage. This significant renovation project, costing $1.3 million, focused on preserving the building's historical integrity while modernizing its facilities. The project received partial funding from the African American Cultural and Historical Grant, which contributed $891,000. The extensive work included restoring the building’s notable jalousie windows, updating all mechanical and electrical systems, and installing an elevator to provide ADA access. Additionally, the project reinforced the building's structural stability, implemented flood mitigation measures, and completed new interior and exterior painting.
