STAAA: Historic Impressions on a Modern Canvas

The St. Augustine Art Association presents the Historic Impressions on a Modern Canvas at the Rotunda Gallery at the St. Johns County Administration Building, running from Friday, October 9, 2025, through Monday, January 12, 2026, with visiting hours from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Mondays through Fridays.

This exhibit showcases the artistry of plein air painting. This practice, a French term meaning "in the open air," involves artists painting outdoors directly from the landscape. The collection features works from this year's Plein Air Paint Out by contemporary artists who carry on the legacy of the Impressionists, capturing the fleeting effects of natural light, the shifting of clouds, and the subtle hues of the world around us.

When: The exhibit opens Thursday,  October 9, 2025, and remains on display through Monday, January 12, 2026. Gallery hours are 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.
