Jerrod Walker
Fans of bluegrass and mandoline music have known Jerrod Walker's music for years. A multi-instrumentalist, exceptional bluegrass mandolin picker, and songwriter, Walker's career started in Florida with a family band, the Walker Brothers. He has long been a sought-after sideman who became better known for performing and writing songs with Billy Strings for ten years.
Walker recently released his debut album, Nighthawk, featuring ten original compositions and one song written by the frequent Gamble Rogers Festival performer Christopher Henry. Walker sings vocals and plays mandolin, mandocello, and guitar on the album. He is joined by several musical friends, including Billy Strings, his brother Corey Walker, and Jake Stargel.
One of the songs on the album, "Cordova Street Blues," is named after the street in St. Augustine. Walker has spent a lot of time in St. Augustine and still has family here.
