The Peña-Peck House
The Peña-Peck House, at 143 St. George Street, was built in 1750 for the Royal Spanish Treasurer, Jun Estevan de Peña. Later, two governors during the British period also lived and conducted business in the house. In 1836, Dr. Seth Peck purchased the home for his family and added a second story. Members of the Peck family lived there until 1931, when the last resident died and left the property to the City of St. Augustine. The Women's Exchange of St. Augustine manages the home.
