The Lightner Museum presents works by artist Rosamond Parrish in a series of paintings, "Have Brush, Will Travel," from Friday, August 4, through Tuesday, September 17, 2023. The exhibit opens on St. Augustine's First Friday Art Walk, on August 4, from 5:00 to 7:30 p.m.

Rosamond Parrish delights in driving down new roads or flying to new locations with her travel palette, pens, and sketchbooks. She works with watercolors, creating bold, colorful works celebrating each location that captures her eye. The works presented include paintings of the Grand Canal in Venice, St. Augustine's beautiful streets, and Maine's bold coast.

Rosamond has lived in Florida since the early 60s and is a founding member of the Jacksonville Watercolor Society. She studied watercolor under the instruction of Edgar Whitney and taught painting at the Jacksonville Art Museum, now known as MOCA-Jax.

This exhibit is a part of the "Lightner Local" series of events created by the Lightner Museum to showcase the talents of artists who live in Northeast and Central Florida.
