I Love You, You're Perfect, Now Change

Limelight Theatre presents I Love You, You're Perfect, Now Change, a musical comedy, from Thursday, January 31, through Sunday, February 15, 2026. The Sunday shows begin at 2:00 p.m.; all the other shows start at 7:30 p.m.

This comedy about love is directed by Daniel and Heather Starling, a married couple in real life. All couples have their stories, and Daniel says the play hit home for he and Heather, “It’s impossible not to recognize ourselves in this material,” said the Starlings. “Being married while directing a musical about love, compromise, and miscommunication has made this production especially meaningful—and even funnier.”

The four lead performers, playing the couples, are Facia Lee, Mitchell Wohl, Emily Layt, and Noah Peacock.

I Love You, You're Perfect, Now Change is Off-Broadway's second-longest-running musical. The book and lyrics are by Joe DiPietro, and the music is by Jimmy Roberts. Focusing on the theme of love and relationships, the play is presented in a series of vignettes, best described in the play's tagline: "Everything you have ever secretly thought about dating, romance, marriage, lovers, husbands, wives, and in-laws, but were afraid to admit." The musical premiered at the Westside Theatre on August 1, 1996, and ran for 5,003 performances, closing on July 27, 2008.

Admission:

• General admission tickets are $35.00. The Limelight does not offer lower prices for seniors, students, or the military during musical productions.
• Deal tickets for the first Thursday of the production (Preview Night) and on one Tuesday (Terrific Tuesday) are $25.00.
• Student "Rush Tickets" are $15.00, when available, 60 minutes before the curtain.
• Box office hours are Tuesday through Saturday, 1:00 to 4:00 p.m., and you can purchase tickets online.

Sunday shows are matinees and start at 2:00 p.m. The performances on all other days begin at 7:30 p.m. Preview Thursday is on Thursday, January 29, and Terrific Tuesday is on February 10.
