Limelight Theatre presents a staged reading of Oscar Wilde's iconic play, The Importance of Being Ernest, from Friday, February 2, through Sunday, February 4, 2024, beginning at 2:00 p.m.

This event will be held in Limelight's Koger-Gamache Studio Theatre.

The two leading characters in Wilde's play, Jack Worthing and Algernon Moncrieff each assume the identity of the fictional Ernest. Each falls in love, hilarity ensues along with an assortment of problems. This experimental production has flipped the genders of every character in the play.

A staged reading presents the play without full sets or costumes. The actors often sit at a table and stage directions may be read aloud for clarity.

Admission:  Ticket prices are $22.50, including fees. Tickets can be purchased at the door or online here.

When: Friday, February 2, through Sunday, February 4, beginning at 2:00 p.m.

Where: 11 Old Mission Avenue, St. Augustine, Florida 32084. There is free parking in the lot off Bernard Street. This event will be held in Limelight's Koger-Gamache Studio Theatre. Use the main entrance.
