Lincolnville Jazz at the Excelsior

March 27, April 10, and May concerts have been CANCELLED at Lincolnville Museum and Cultural Center

This series of eight jazz concerts over four months will feature several of the finest musical artists in the region.

  • Coronavirus Update: The remaining (April – May) concerts in the Lincolnville Jazz at the Excelsior series have been CANCELLED.

    The St. Augustine Distillery presents Lincolnville Jazz at the Excelsior, a jazz music series hosted at the Lincolnville Museum and Cultural Center from January through May 2020. Each of the eight performances in the series begins at 7:30 p.m. at the Lincolnville Museum and Cultural Center.

    The Lincolnville Museum and Cultural Center was formerly the historic Excelsior High School, the first public high school for African Americans in St. Augustine. Lincolnville Jazz at the Excelsior will feature a number of highly regarded and talented artists, including Jacksonville-native jazz and blues favorites Mama Blue, live jazz fusion band Eric Carter & Company, instrumental group Catch the Groove, classically trained jazz and soul vocalist Akia Uwanda, and the soul jazz duo Kelle Jolly & The Will Boyd Project.

    All the concerts take place on a Friday and begin at 7:30 p.m. A pre-show cocktail lounge is open from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m.

    Here is the line-up for 2020:

    January 10 — Mama Blue: Jazz: Blues Favorites

    January 24 — Laiken Williams & Fellowship of Love

    February 28 — Eric Carter & Company: Live Jazz Fusion

    March 6 — Kenneth Seabrook

    March 27 — Catch the Groove: Jazz Vocals

    April 10 — Kelle Jolly & The Will Boyd Project: Smooth Jazz

    April 17 — Akia Uwanda

    May 15 — Linda Cole

    Admission: Tickets for each performance at the Lincolnville Museum and Cultural Center are $20.00 if purchased in advance and $25.00 if purchased at the door. Tickets can be purchased in advance online here or in person at the museum.

    When: Eight performances on Fridays from January through May 2020: January 10 and 24, February 28, March 6 and 27, April 10 and 17, and May 15, 2020.

    Where: All the performances will be held at the Lincolnville Museum and Cultural Center, which is located at 102 Martin Luther King Ave. in Lincolnville, St. Augustine, FL 32084.
