The Northeast Florida Marlin Association hosts the annual Mahi Mania Fishing Tournament, an open tournament running for two months each year. This is a Captain's choice tournament, enabling participants to choose any three fishing days from April 4 through June 7.
The event starts with a kick-off party and captains' meeting on Thursday, April 2, 2026. The doors open at 5:00 p.m. Registration for the tournament closes at 6:30 p.m., and the meeting starts at 7:00 p.m.
The first potential fishing day is April 4, with captains choosing which of three days they want to compete between April 4 and June 7, 2026. The captain uses an app to declare a fishing day, and must do so by 8:00 p.m. on the day before fishing. Lines may be in the water between 6:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. Boats must return by 8:00 p.m. Weigh-in is at Beamish Custom Tackle. See the rules for times.
