March for Life 2017

The annual March for Life in St. Augustine departs from the Mission Nombre de Dios.

  • The March for Life St. Augustine is an annual event that includes live music, a procession in historic downtown, guest speakers and a dinner.  As many as 2500 people from all over Florida have joined in the March for Life in past years to support anti-abortion and pro-life causes.

    Schedule of Events on Saturday, January 14, 2017

    9:45 a.m. Live music and info booths at Mission of Nombre de Dios located at 27 Ocean Ave. St. Augustine, FL  32084

    10:30 a.m. There will be several speakers, and then the peaceful procession will depart at 11:30 a.m. from the Mission, proceed down St. George Street, and finish at the Plaza de la Constitución, where the keynote speaker will make an address.

    12  – 4 p.m. A spaghetti dinner prepared by the Knights of Columbus will be served at 259 St. George Street (just a few blocks south of the Plaza).

    Kick-Off Events on Friday, January 13, 2017

    Kick-off events on the Friday night before the March of Life include Holy Hour at Our Lady of La Leche Shrine at 5 p.m., with a mass to follow at 6 p.m.. The mass will be followed by an Illuminated Living Rosary at 6:45 p.m. Beginning at 7:30 p.m., there will be food and festivities at St. John Bosco House, across from the Shrine on Sebastian Avenue.

    Admission: Free.

    When: The March for Life and related activites take place on Saturday, January 14, 2017, beginning at 9:45 a.m. The procession begins at 11:30 a.m. The spaghetti dinner is from 12 to 4 p.m. The Friday night kick-off events begin on Friday, January 13, 2017, at 5 p.m.

    Where: The March begins at the Mission of Nombre de Dios located at 27 Ocean Ave., and ends at the Plaza de la Constitución, which is located in the center of historic downtown. Our Lady of La Leche Shrine is located on the grounds of the Mission.
