Competitions and games include the Quick N' Dirty boat building competition and race (with sails and rigging added this year), Bartender's Chalupa Rum Challenge, Kidz Maritime Art Competition, a pup parade, and field games. The children's maritime education corner features a number of activities, along with various non-profit community organizations' displays, food and drinks, and music throughout both days of the festival.
